The gauge shall be deemed to meet the dimensional requirements (if the measurement results are within the specified dimension and the measurement uncertainty does not exceed 0.005mm when the confidence level does not exceed 95%)
12.2.1 Inspection, measurement and use of gauge as shown in Figure 5. For gauge test, the reconnecting plug should be connected with BS 6500:2000, 1.25mm2 3-core flexible cord as shown in Table 27. Non-reconnecting plugs shall be tested in delivery condition.
Gauge in a roughly vertical position, the plug and gauge fit surface parallel to each other, phase line and the center of the plug into the distance should not exceed 2mm. When a force of 10N or less is applied in a direction perpendicular to the fitting surface, the plug shall enter the gauge completely without any additional force being applied to make it flush.
