LIEKKI active fibers are available with either Ytterbium (Yb) or Erbium (Er) as the main dopant.

Yb doped fibers are available over a range of dopant concentration levels ranging from Yb700 to Yb1200. The Yb number refers to the nominal small signal absorption of the core at the 976nm peak wavelength in dB/m. Yb fibers are available for single-clad core pumping applications as well as double clad cladding pumping applications over a broad core diameter range.
